PRINCESS IDA CANCELLED - COVID-19

It is with much regret, though given the circumstances, no little surprise that we have to announce the cancellation of our 2020 performances of Princess Ida. Given the uncertainty of the impact and extent of Coronavirus/COVID-19 it is not possible to perform this show this year. We hope to perform Princess Ida at The Arts Centre in April 2021.
Currently the Wyvern Theatre and Old Town Arts Centre have decided to suspend or postpone performances as a public safety measure and we agree that given the seriousness of the current health crisis, the Swindon Gilbert & Sullivan Society should act like wise. It would be irresponsible to do anything else. We send our best wishes to staff at the Wyvern and Arts Centre as they face a difficult and uncertain time.

1: If you have bought your ticket from the Wyvern Theatre/Old Town Arts Centre:
The Wyvern and Arts Centre are discouraging direct contact or telephoning the box office as they will be overwhelmed with calls. They ask that patrons follow social media for more details regarding refunds etc.

We are currently working to identify how we can either offer a straight refund or a voucher for next year’s show. We will make a further announcement about this in due course.
